Patriots’ Jimmy Garoppolo could make the playoffs for second straight season
The New England Patriots are headed for another postseason appearance, but the team’s No. 2 tight end Jimmy Garopolo could be ready to make the team, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.
Garoppolo is coming off a season that was overshadowed by an injury-plagued season and has been sidelined since the start of the regular season.
He has yet to play a snap since suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 1.
The Pats, who will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, have won eight straight games and four of five since Garoppol joined the team in the offseason.
Garoppo has nine catches for 109 yards and three touchdowns in those eight games.
